- Large triode 212E
- The 212E was developed by Western Electric in the 1910s as a transmitter and modulator tube. Unlike the transmitter tubes developed later, the 212E is a vacuum tube with good linearity suitable for audio applications that operates with a negative bias. The 212E is driven by a plate voltage of 1400V and 50W output power. The output is suppressed to obtain a damping factor of 5 or higher, and low frequencies are also driven reliably. 《 Succeeding the sonic character of the STC 4212E — produced under Western Electric license during the 1960s and 70s — the 212PAM2 is now offered exclusively with the Jinzhou Huaguang Electronics 212E (Model: 212PAM2-JH). Note that product photos show the STC 4212E-equipped version.》
- Two-stage with C3g
- Equipped with the ultra-reliable C3g, developed by Deutsche Telekom. The thin grid lines and large distance between electrodes enable high linearity amplification. Using only two tubes of amplification with the 212E, harmonics and mixed-modulation distortions are suppressed though non-feedback.
- High fidelity transformer
- The input transformer makes up for the lack of gain in the two-stage amplification. It is received by a high linearity transformer with a high permeability super permalloy core and does not add anything extra. The core material, wire material, winding thickness, and winding ratio are carefully designed and manufactured to affect performance such as distortion, S/N ratio, and input/output impedance. * Please drive with a equipment with an output impedance of 300 Ω or less.
- Doubly regulated power supply
- Rectifiers used in general power supplies and contacts are noise sources. These are sharp-rising noises that span from 50 Hz to several hundred MHz and muddy the sound. To solve this problem, a switching power supply has been optimized for audio applications based on our half-century of knowledge in power supply development. The high voltage of 1,400V supplied to the 212E is doubly regulated by the switching power supply and analog power supply, enabling quiet output with no distortion.
